Green Relish is a lifestyle tool to help green lovers find the organic food, products, and services they need, close to home. Although the mission is to bring together like minds, the journey of Green Relish started with the devastating loss of founder Shannon’s life partner.
The power of meditation granted her a reprieve from the pain, and she felt herself beginning to heal each time she closed her thoughts and opened her mind. Her sense of well-being increased, and she began to explore, always seeking out the real, the true, and the organic.
Healthy living had always been important to her, until she felt the effects of clean living physically, emotionally and mentally. Determined to find peace, she dove into the study of human history in search of answers. By curating a natural environment of growth for her mind, body, and spirit, Shannon was able to begin the healing process. Finally on the path to peace, she now believes that our health is a reflection of who we are.
A life of full love and joy is a life worth living, and that is our message every day. Although loss is painful, it is also transformative, and Shannon hopes that her story and strength may benefit others. Whether you are hoping to live a cleaner lifestyle, establish healthy habits for children, or are experiencing a time of turmoil, with Green Relish it has never been more convenient to find organic food, products, and services online.

“Organic” simply means “Natural.” These days, nearly everything is enhanced, modified, helped along to be bigger, better, brighter, etc. At Go Green Relish, we prefer all-natural.
The organic produce we help you find is grown using environmentally-friendly practices, untouched by pesticides or chemical fertilizers; and the organic meat, egg, and dairy products are never fed growth hormones or antibiotics, or held under cruel conditions. Simply put, it’s food you can feel good about eating, products that were humanely sourced, and services performed without harsh chemicals or treatments.
The organic clothing, organic beauty products, organic household cleaners, and more organic goods and services that are searchable through Go Green Relish are all made with natural resources, and manufactured under humane conditions.
For produce and food, the USDA monitors facilities to ensure that certain safe practices and health guidelines are followed. If a piece of fresh produce has a “USDA Organic” sticker, it is safe to assume that no pesticides, antibiotics, fertilizers, and GMOs were used on the farm where it was grown.
Some packaged foods may contain 95% organic ingredients, or even 70%, and still earn such a sticker. That’s why it’s best to seek out the “100% Organic” sticker on any organic fruit, veggies, meat, dairy, or eggs.
There are so many great reasons! Some folks go green for the planet, others for their children and other future generations; some choose the organic lifestyle for their health. What you put into your body affects how it works, looks, and feels. The cleaner your fuel, the cleaner your health, and the better you’ll feel.
Organic clothing, all-natural household cleaners, and sustainable lifestyle choices also reduce the risk of a child or animal accidentally ingesting a dangerous chemical product!
To start living clean, use our unique search feature to find organic food, clothing, beauty, and household products. It’s what Go Green Relish was born to do. In the meantime, here are a few informational resources to help you learn all about going green.
It’s a hefty undertaking, with a lot of moving parts. Not only must the ingredients of the organic cleaners, sustainable clothing, all-natural beauty products, etc. be responsibly sourced, but the process of combining it all and packaging it for sale must also remain pure.
The goal is to produce the same (or higher) quality product without harming the planet or its occupants.
Organic farmers must spend up to 3 years converting their soil quality and processes before their products can be considered 100% organic. It takes time and it’s an investment – animals must have organic feed, land to roam, and shelter under which to sleep – and many farmers commit simply for the greater good.
With healthy soil and happy livestock, farmers know that their products will be significantly fresher, healthier, and more flavorful.
Just as with fast food and fine dining, quality typically comes at a price. While the green lifestyle shouldn’t break the bank, you may find yourself spending a bit more for the Organic label. This is due to the sustainable, responsible, environmentally-friendly methods in which these products are grown, raised, manufactured, or produced.
The purveyors of organic goods must often charge more for their products, because it costs them more to grow, raise, or make them. It’s a bit of a mutual agreement: you’ll work harder and I’ll pay more, because together we’re making a difference.
At Go Green Relish, we love that.
